The Pyrite L uses a combination of its button locking mechanism with ceramic ball bearings in the pivot point to quickly deploy this knife and always have it within reach. The smooth action allows the blade to be flipped open with one hand with the push of the button lock or a flick of the thumb studs. The blade is made of AR-RPM9, a proprietary steel that has an advantage in corrosion resistance compared to D2 steel. The handles are comfortable to hold and sit well in the hand thanks to the gentle curve and bevel designed to accommodate the index finger.
